Bio

MY NAME IS JANET is a multinational band that came into living in 2009. Initially it had been the idea of Jim AvivA to record some studio stuff on a project basis in the Sonic Train Studios (Varberg, Sweden). However, after such work with the Swedish musicians Eric Rauti and Alexx Hedlund had proved exceptionally successful, not only the debut album "Red Room Blue" resulted but also a fully fledged progressive-rock band. It came in very handy that well known producer Andy LaRocque (also guitar player of King Diamond fame) agreed to produce the album “Red Room Blue”. The album will see the day of light in November 2011 and is to be released by the fine Swiss Galileo Label.

For 2012, MY NAME IS JANET prepare for tours in support of “Red Room Blue” and there are already very specific plans for their second album which is to be recorded also in 2012.

To be continued...

The album's Concept:
There are eight songs just as there are eight emotional conditions of a man who is eager to get out
of a house consisting of many red rooms. Each room is some part of the man's reminding about his
unfortunate life. The only way to become happy is to break a door (all doors being tightly closed and nailed up) and to find thereby the escape route from the house. Finally, he manages to escape from his hermit space and enters into the free world. But will he have enough fantasy to create and form his new life?

There is a parallel line of the concept: The Tower of Babel is like the mind of (a) man. The people
inside this tower are synonymous to the man's confusing thoughts - misunderstanding and pushing
away each other.
